HI! I hope that December finds you well rested, with batteries fully charged! HA! Who am I kidding? If there is anyone who has a peaceful and restful November/December, they have discovered some magnificent sort of life hack that I am obviously lacking. But amidst the chaos, I am finding opportunities to rest my mind and spirit outside. Usually, when I start feeling frazzled I go outside and feel like a new person. I love the cold crisp air, even if it is still a little humid and muggy sometimes here in Georgia. I will take whatever semblance of winter I can get! I decided to put a few select holiday inspired items on sale in my shop now through December 21st, which is the postal service’s last day for holiday shipping. These items are all ready to ship and would make really fun gifts for young folks or older folks. Here is a link to Kari Goodwin Quilts where you start shopping! There are some items marked 50% off and others are 30%. Thanks for shopping small!
Weekly coupons are back!!
Now through the holidays, check in with me weekly to keep up with our current promotional offer. All you have to do is have fun checking people off of those shopping lists! Etsy has a very cool new “Sale” feature, so I can go ahead and discount the eligible items in my shop and you don’t even have to enter a code during checkout, which I really love! So, are you ready?! This week’s sale features all of the ready to ship products in my Mermaid Collection! Blankets, quilts, gift sets, all featuring our Goodwin’s exclusive designs are 30% off now through November 20th! (Made to order crib sheets and changing pad covers are not). My daughter and I made the designs, but I like her modern take on the mermaid most of all! Blue hair, realistic body shape, bandeau top, and a little anchor tattoo?…YES PLEASE! 🙂 It is a great time to pick up a quilt or coordinating accessories while they are on sale and add a crib sheet or changing pad cover in time for the holidays. As an added bonus, everyone who uses the promotional offer from the website now through the holidays will be entered in a $25 Kari Goodwin Quilts Giftcard drawing in January! I have been working on some new and exciting work for this event, including lots of hand-dyed quilts, one of which I am currently working on that is going to be hand-quilted and entered as a submission into Quilt Con soon! I only have a month to get it finished for the submission, but I work well with a deadline, so I am not worried about finishing it. I have a new collection of linen blankets that I printed using hand carved blocks, as well as a lot of new Botanical Sketch print products including pillows, quilts, blankets, and tea towels. I will have several Full Moon pillows there for sale; a large option which measures over 22″ across, as well as a small that measures 14″ across. I have so many quilts right now that I will be looking to clear out to make room for new work as well, so if you are looking to get some affordable, handmade Christmas gifts for little ones, this would be a great event to come shop with me! My husband Josh will have a couple of wooden pieces available as well, including a live edge table and some carved bowls. We are excited to be involved and hope you can come to Old Town Columbus for this wonderful event!
To say THANK YOU to everyone, everywhere, to all the customers from day one, who have been amazing, presented challenges for me to rise to, who have left feedback that has literally left me in tears, I say THANK YOU. Today you can get 25% off your total purchase at Kari Goodwin Quilts with the coupon code CYBER2016. Links to my Etsy shop, as well as The Tree House Kid and Folks Linen can be seen here.
I am getting excited about my tour about town tomorrow, seeking out all of my favorite local businesses to support on Small Business Saturday! I support small year round, but I do understand how exciting it can be for a small business to have a banging start to the holiday season, so I am going to do my best to hit up all of my favorites. Speaking of hitting up your favorites (wink-wink!) I would like to share our own small business specials and events coming up. Josh and I both are offering a sale in our Etsy shops through Cyber Monday for 10% off $100 purchase, 15% off $200 purchase, and 20% off $300 purchase! That’s a pretty big sale for us, so if you wanted to do any holiday shopping with us, it will not get better than this! UNLESS you are within driving distance and would like to come shop with us in person this upcoming weekend, December 5th and 6th. We will be at our annual Big Oaks Winter Sale out on the lovely 300+ acre farm of our friend Carey and Brant Slay from 10am-5pm both days, and you can get directions if you plug this address into Google Maps: 10747 UNION PLEASANT GROVE OMAHA, GA 31821 In addition to all of our work, Carey will be selling all of her wonderful wood fired pottery. We will have a friendly, open buffet of snacks and tea to eat while you browse, chat, and take a break from the holiday chaos under the mighty boughs of the Big Oak trees. We offer great in-person discounts and will have a variety of items from all four of the Etsy shops on display. I love to “clean house” at the end of the year to make room for new products, so a lot of things will be greatly discounted. This is a great opportunity to shop small and get lots of beautifully made gifts for your friends and family. These pictures from last year’s show speak for themselves and we hope to see you there!
